ECT: Electronics Technicians licensure exam
The ECT exam is given in the same week as the ECE exam, by the same Board (the Professional Regulatory Board of Electronics Engineering). Cedar's ECT access opens the whole ECE reviewer plus the ECT Essentials lessons. This page shows which lessons cover each part of the ECT exam's official scope.

The official scope, and where to study it
The program lists these topics, and Cedar has full lessons for each.
A study plan for ECT
- Week 1: basic math. Numbers, units and algebra, then trigonometry, logarithms and decibels.
- Weeks 2–3: circuits and components. Ohm's law, series and parallel, dividers, power, then diodes, transistors and thyristors. These carry most of the computations.
- Week 4: test equipment and repair. Multimeters, the oscilloscope, and troubleshooting.
- Week 5: machines and equipment. Motors, generators and transformers, power supplies, AC power and power factor.
- Week 6: laws and codes. RA 9292 and what a technician may do, the Philippine Electrical Code, the Philippine Electronics Code, and electrical safety.
- Last week: quizzes. Retake the quick checks of every lesson above and solve the worked examples again without looking.
